Police Community Support Officers (PCSO)

We should like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves through the pages of your local village website but hope that many of you may have already met us or seen us out on patrol.
Police Community Support Officers are uniformed Support Staff whose role is to support the work of police officers working within a community. We use our limited powers to tackle lower level crime, disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. This helps free up time for regular officers to concentrate on more serious crimes and incidents. We work with our partners and community organisations within the village in order to help resolve issues and problems such as anti-social behaviour, the fear of crime, environmental issues (including vehicle obstruction) and any other issues that affect the quality of life of residents in the village.
